What A Season - Football 2009

Well, we survived this football season with a few miracles and a lot of nail-biters. The Tigers ended up ranked #13 in the BCS, with a 9-3 record.

It looks like we may get a decent Bowl bid and I will keep you posted on that.

Stay tuned and return for updates on what is happening, locally.

Finishing Strong

Last week was a heartbreaker. Conspiracy theorist abound. And although I dont' belive there is a conpsiracy (come on, they're not that smart), I do think the SEC referees need some more training.

That being said, we've had really good participation in the viewing for the LSU games. I hope everyone is having a good time; I know I am. We've got more t-shirts to give away, courtesy of the Times Grill. So everyone needs to come out and support the Tigers through the end of the season.

Below are pics from this years viewing:

Halloween - LSU v. Tulane

We've been having a good turn out this year for the football viewing. And this Halloween, we will have a truly scary event -- the LSU/Tulane game. Not available at your homes, we will have it at the Times Grill (Baymeadows at 9A) for all to see. Come out and join us for what should be a fun game. Wear your costumes! There will be a tee-shirt give-away but only to those in costume.

Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. Its on TigerVision. Come early to get a good seat.

Hope to see you there.

Geaux Tigers.

LSU v. Georgia - 10/3/09 @ 3:30 p.m.

Hey Tiger Fans, the season is heating up. With the Tigers ranked a disputed #4 in the polls, we are getting into the heart of the season. This weekend the Tigers travel to Athens to take on #18 Georgia. This game should be a good one. The offensive line and defensive line will need to prove themselves to so can maintain our ranking. The game is at 3:30 on Saturday on CBS -- but isn't it more fun to hang around others dressed in purple and gold to watch the game, then sitting on your sofa, yelling at the TV by yourself. Come out and join us at Times Grille on Baymeadows Road at 9A. I recommend getting there a little early to get a good seat.

And don't forget ... anyone in the Orange Park area on Saturday may want to stop by the Farmer's Market at the mall and pick up some good cajun cooking from King Creole Catering and tell Shawn hi.

Hope to see y'all Saturday and Geaux Tigers!!!

LSU v. U-LaLa - Satuday, Sept. 19th at 7:00 p.m.

Tiger Fans, LSU is now ranked #9 or #7 in the polls after their win over Vandy, depending on which one you read. I pick #7. This weekend we take on University of Louisiana - Lafayette (aka ULaLa, USL, SLI). This should be a fun game. The Ragin' Cajuns are undefeated but LSU is 20-0 against non-conference teams under Les Miles. Tigers are still suffering from a couple of injuries and expect shuffling of the back field as Ridley is expected to be back in action.

We will be a Times Grill on Baymeadows Road at 9A to watch the game. Come out and join the crowd.

LSU vs. Vanderbilt - Satuday, Sept.12 at 7:00 p.m.

Tiger Fans -

We had a great turnout to watch the Tigers play cat-and-mouse with Washington last Saturday, for a late night game, from what I hear. I hope you all didn't find it as painful to watch as I did. But we did get a win and managed to remain number 11 in the polls.

This Saturday, the Tigers take on the perennial academic favorite, Vanderbilt, at 7:00 p.m. This could be a good game, given Vanderbilt's improvement on the football field and their 45-0 win last week over Western Carolina.

Please join us at Times Grill on Baymeadows Road at 9A. It be nice to have a good turnout for what hopefully will be stronger showing by the Tigers.

Hope to see you there and Geaux Tigers!!!!!
