LOUISIANA WEEKEND IN JACKSONVILLE

The LSU Tigers are #1 and exciting things are happening. Jordan Jefferson is back at practice, along with Josh Johns. This weekend the Tigers face the Kentucky Wildcats and, although Kentucky did not play well last weekend against Florida, I am slightly concerned about this game. After all, kickoff is in the A.M. on LSU's campus which is not our favorite time to play. However, we are looking strong. The Defense needs to step up the pass rush a bit before next weekends match-up the Gators, but we'll worry about that later.

Now, its just getting organized to come out and join us at Hurricane's Grill and Wings on Baymeadows Road at 9A for the 12:20 kickoff of the game.

To add to our great weekend and the "cool" front coming in, Cool Brees and the New Orleans Saints will be in town taking on the Jaguars on Sunday. I know we will have lots of out of town guests from home and many local Tigers have gotten their tickets for the game. Trying to hook up with those interested in tailgating. We are going to get their early to get a spot in the WJCT lot. Let me know where you are going to be.

Let's have a great GOLD weekend, with a little bit of purple and black missed in.

LSU #2 in AP Poll - Ready for the Demons

What an exciting game last Saturday. The Defense stood up and did what was needed, plus a solid performance by the offense (and former Wampus Cat, Michael Ford), help LSU beat Oregon and move up in the AP poll to #2 and in the Coaches' poll to #3.

Now we are ready to take on the Northwestern State Demons. This is the home opener, so there should be a lot of electricity about it. I don't know about you, but I have a lot of friends from both sides going to the game. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it, so I'm going to join by Jacksonville friends at Hurricane's Grill & Wings (10920 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, FL).

We had a great crowd last week. Hurricanes were wonderful hosts and had the place running well. We will have designated televisions and Abita beer specials. Come out and join us.
